Margaret’s original Bachelor of Science degree (Fordham University) in Biology, led her to pursue a career in Nursing after completing another Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Mount Saint Mary College).She practiced as a Registered Nurse for almost 20 years, working in a variety of hospital and well-patient settings: Medical-Surgical, Critical Care, Pediatrics and Urology.
After leaving Nursing, Margaret continued her studies, preferring to cross over to the alternative therapies.She has a Master of Science in Natural Health (Clayton College), is a Certified Natural Health Professional (CNHP), and is a professional member of the American Association of Nutritional Consultants.
In 1999, Margaret formed her company, An Ounce of Prevention LLC, and started offering Nutritional Consultations.Her practice has grown, in large part through referrals from satisfied clients. She has settled into her main office in Stevensville, Maryland, has happily joined the office of Dr. Mark Sivieri in Columbia, Maryland and ventures to the Joy Lane Healing Center in Hollywood, Maryland one day each month.
She is available for individual and family counseling as well as for group seminars and workshops.
